These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed through The Biscuit Tin website. By placing an order you confirm you have read and agree to them.
1. About Us
The Biscuit Tin is a small-batch home bakery making handmade iced biscuits and personalised gift boxes, posted across the UK.

2. Orders & Contract
All orders are subject to acceptance by The Biscuit Tin. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. We reserve the right to decline an order at our discretion (for example where we cannot fulfil it in time, or where a pricing error has occurred). Product images are for illustration; as everything is handmade, each item is lovingly unique and may vary slightly.
3. Personalised Orders
For personalised items such as the Birthday Tin, you are responsible for the accuracy of the name and age you provide at checkout. Please double-check spelling — we ice exactly what you submit. As personalised items are made specifically for you, they cannot be cancelled or refunded once baking has begun, except where faulty.
4. Pricing & Payment
- All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£).
- Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
- Payment is processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
- Orders are not confirmed until payment has been received.
5. Allergens & Food Safety
Our biscuits are handmade in a domestic kitchen that also handles gluten (wheat), egg, milk, nuts, soya and sesame. We cannot guarantee any product is free from a particular allergen. If you have an allergy, please contact us before ordering. By ordering you confirm you have read this notice.
6. Delivery
- We bake to order and aim to post within a few working days; timescales are estimates and not guaranteed.
- Free UK delivery applies to orders over the threshold shown at checkout; otherwise a standard delivery charge applies.
- Risk passes to you on delivery. We are not liable for delays caused by the carrier or events outside our control.
7. Returns & Cancellations
Because our products are freshly made, perishable food and often personalised, the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply once your order has been made. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or not of satisfactory quality, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — text, images, logos and design — is the property of The Biscuit Tin or used with permission. You may not reproduce or use it without our prior written consent.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any order is limited to the value of the goods purchased. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Complaints
If something isn’t right, please email info.thebiscuittin@yahoo.com as soon as possible so we can put it right.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The version in force when you order is the version that applies to that order.
